Leukerbad Holiday Home Terms & Conditions
We look forward to welcoming you. When you make your booking, you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
In these terms and conditions, “you” and “your” means all persons named on the booking (including anyone who is added or substituted later). “We”, “us” and “our” means Bike and Tours GmbH property owner to Leukerbad Holiday Home in Switzerland.
By now, we can expect that our mutual customers are aware of the risk of further Coronavirus spread, and as such the risk they are taking when making new reservations, particularly Non-Refundable bookings. Therefore for all new reservations made as of 15 June 2020, will be treated like any standard booking, according to our policies and procedures.
Arrival and Departure
Check in is available from 4.00pm to 7.00pm (16:00 to 19:00) on the day of arrival. Check-in times outside of those specified must be confirmed with us prior to arrival.
We ask that you please vacate your room by 9.00am (9:00) on the morning of departure.
Online Reservations
Bookings made online or via online booking portals may be subject to differing terms and conditions in force at the time of booking. This is to protect your security in carrying out the booking and providing credit card details over the internet.
The payment facilitator for Tripadvisor used by us on your Booking will be Holiday Lettings Limited ("Holiday Lettings"), which is registered in England and Wales under company number 5282912 and has its registered office at 7 Soho Square, London, W1D 3QB, UK. For the avoidance of doubt, you acknowledge and agree that the provider of the Property is us and not Holiday Lettings.
Cancellation by the Guest
Should you wish to cancel a booking, you must notify us in writing. Refund is subject to 50% non-refundable deposit payment, bank charges and other expenses which we have already incurred.
Guests failing to arrive, without notification, may be responsible to a charge equivalent to the total reservation price.
No refunds will be made for any cancellations requests made less than 30 days before check in date. This includes any cancellation as a result of the inavailability of flights, cancellation of flights; force majeure, pandemic outbreak, lockdown and border closures. You are strongly advised to obtain independent travel insurance.
Cancellation by Us
We may cancel a booking for reasons beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disaster, Acts of God, weather, pandemic outbreak, lockdown, border closure, war, political instability or any other situations where we reasonably consider that your safety may be at risk.
Car Park
NO private parking space available within the building. There are nearby parking houses such as Sportarena Leukerbad or Rathouse Parkhaus (at additional cost). Cars parked at the suggested parking houses are at Guests own risk.
Damage and Breakages
Please take care of our home and properties. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly. We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.
Force Majeure
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of “force majeure”. In these Booking Conditions, “force majeure” means any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity or actual threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire, contagious diseases, border closure, lockdown and all similar events outside our control.
Insurance
You are strongly recommended to take out personal travel insurance for all members of your party. Please note that not all insurance policies intended for travel overseas are adequate to cover you for the stays featured on our website. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is adequate for your needs. We do not check insurance policies.
Keys
You have access to the building and the studio 24 hours a day throughout your stay using a set of keys given to you upon arrival. You have full responsibility of these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at CHF120.00 per set plus any additional costs incurred if any additional work is required, such as, locks having to be changed.
Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions.
Missing Items
We reserve the right to charge for missing items from our property.
Making a Payment.
A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of 50% is required. Note that bookings are not confirmed nor secure until Bike and Tours receives this deposit and you receive a confirmation. Bike and Tours reserves the right to release or cancel any bookings being held where this required deposit has not been received by the deposit due date.
Payment of the deposit indicates you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
Please review and verify your booking invoice thoroughly and contact us immediately if your invoice appears to be incorrect or incomplete, as it may not be possible to make changes later. Bike and Tours cannot accept responsibility if we are not notified of inaccuracies within 5 days of sending out the invoice. In the case of billing errors, Bike and Tours reserves the right to re-invoice you with correct pricing.

Pets
Pets are not permitted at our property.
Fine Print
This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.
This property is located in a residential area, and guests are asked to refrain from excessive noise.
Prices
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. This does not affect bookings already made.
Smoking
Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is NOT permitted within any part of the establishment, except in designated areas. Please note that offending guests may be asked to leave immediately and may be liable for professional cleaning of any rooms and any outstanding balance of nights booked but not taken through early departure.
Termination Policy
We reserve the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, an individuals stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others (Please note that non compliance of our non smoking policy may constitute termination). In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, no refunds will be made.
VAT
All published rates are inclusive of VAT at the current rate.
Wi-Fi Access
By using our Wi-Fi Service you automatically agree to the terms and conditions of use in force at the time.
Jurisdiction
In the relationship between the participant and Bike and Tours, the applicable jurisdiction is Sarnen, Switzerland. Should any lawsuits be made against Bike and Tours it will be exclusively held in Sarnen, Switzerland.
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
You acknowledge and agree that all intellectual property rights (including, but not limited to, copyrights (including rights in software), trademarks, database rights, patents and inventions) in and relating to the service are owned by us and our licensors or contractors. Nothing in this agreement operates to transfer any such intellectual property rights to you.
We reserve the right to assign or sub-contract any of our rights and obligations under this agreement without notice to you.
If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions shall nevertheless remain in full force and effect.
This agreement is governed by the laws of Switzerland and the parties hereto submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Swiss courts.
